My Vision

My friend Anne Baring has so beautifully written what I would call my underpinning vision:
“We are awakening to what I have called the dream of the cosmos-the dream of an enlightened humanity engaging in a new role on this planet: a role that is in harmony with the evolutionary intention of the cosmos and is no longer driven by the quest for power, conquest and control and the appropriation of the earth’s resources for the benefit of the few. As we begin consciously to align ourselves with this luminous ground of reality, our minds will serve the deepest longing of our heart, the deepest wisdom of our soul.  We will know who we are and why we are here.”
I clearly knew why I was here and had been inwardly told when I was 8 years old that it was to lay the foundation of a new church; for a new era.  I knew even then that this did not mean an institution or building but something less visible. At university I read geography because I loved planet earth and also seconds after the birth of our fourth daughter, I saw a great path opening ahead of me and have followed this ever since, an example perhaps of the saying:
“Do not follow where the path may lead but go instead and forge a new path that others may follow”
So as an inveterate initiator that began when my fourth daughter was only 5 months old.  Three things happened almost all at once.  The first was that I was asked to stand for election for the local Borough Council (Reigate, Surrey) and so I pursued a great interest in community.  The second was that I started listening to the guiding inner voice and when I met someone with a similar experience, we felt a shared calling to earth the emerging new consciousness at that time and co create bridges from the old paradigm to the new that we could see coming.  Thirdly when the remarkable new distance learning Open University started I was encouraged to apply for the position of tutor or counsellor in the local region and was accepted and given just a little induction!   A lovely au pair from Sweden enabled my activities away from home as my husband commuted to London and assisted my following the call of the future, but my children were my top priority.  The call of the future can, at times, be most impelling.
